REMARKS: USGS gives 100km depth and M7.6, which suggests less damage. The immediate vicinity of the epicenter is relatively sparsely settled. Large felt are because of the depth, but probably few casualties. However, the newest report from the USGS gives 15 km as depth in which case this would be a disaster. Calculation with 15 km will follow.
